After the disastrous discussion she'd had with Arthur at the reserves, Fiona had made her way back to her cabin and tried to relax a bit with a book. Books, however, had brought up the discussion in her mind and after slicing off half of her bedsheet with one of the pages, she'd decided that a fire might be the way to go.

...it would keep her away from her things at any rate.

Which was why she was out at the campfire, a bag of marshmallows on one side and a few sticks laid out next to them. She couldn't eat them but she'd decided to take a page from Ender and offer them for those who might want to. Oddly enough, just the items made her feel better.

Adam opened up Android's Dungeon on time and decided to see if the anything on the shelves needed re-stocking. He was going to take his time going through them, in case they needed re-arranging aside from replacing current issues.

Android's Dungeon's open.

So I'm poking through LJ, looking for some posts circa late 2005 - early 2006 (NO REASON) (dear gods have we really been at this for that long?), and I found this snippet of a conversation between Bel and Angel:
Bel: "Let's see, Willow's seeing someone who's apparently like a knight where he's from, but she's worried that a team of vampiric hamsters with screwdrivers may attack him; Cordelia flashed me in class; Bridge and Xander were caught looking up porn on the internet; Piper had a conjugal visit with Lindsey; Isabel's seeing this kid Greg who likes to dress up as a girl; Alanna and Faithful were turned into statues for three weeks; and Blair and I have a bet going in sex ed."

Angel: "...so same ol' same ol'?"
...I can't for the life of me remember where the "team of vampiric hamsters with screwdrivers" attacking Peter came from. *eyes TBQ and FEARS*

Mary's day started at 3 AM, when her night auditor called to say that yesterday's cash deposit was short by $50. She pulled on a v-neck tee and sweatpants (but no bra) before trudging downstairs. Turns out that the auditor had made a counting mistake and it didn't take Mary long to find the missing cash. And once she was already at the front desk, she decided to stay put for her shift.

But she might have regretted that decision when a delivery guy brought a large package addressed to Gunther. There was no room on the desk, so Mary had to lean over and set it down on the floor so she could sign for it. It was only as she straightened up that she realized she'd just flashed the delivery guy. Oops.

Chuck was still feeling pretty shitty and was definitely in no mood to hang around his cabin considering who was in there. He also didn't feel like being sociable around the campfires. After some thought he grabbed a book (one he had been reading for months and still hadn't finished) and headed to the park. He had plans of sprawling out on the grass and reading, possibly falling asleep later after a while--oooh! A playground!

Okay so maybe the plan would be tweaked to add some time on the swings. Shut up, swings were awesome.

[I heart swings. And I'm bored. Open!]

On her way to work this morning, Layla had stopped by the Sushi Station to pick up a rainbow roll and some green tea ice cream.

Situating herself behind the counter she was studying various maps and routes on the Eastern coast of the United States as she munched on her sushi.

[The OCD was eaten with the sushi as the wasabi and ginger were not included. Also I just had sushi. YUM!]

Back in his office, Dale was going over some evidence from an FBI case over on the mainland and making notes regarding a potential criminal profile. This was the third case sent to him from off island. He wasn't sure if it was because he did a good job with them or the fact that he seemed to get them done rather quickly.

Possibly both.

When he was finished he got a refill of his coffee and started going through the paperwork that had piled up over the weekend due to all the inanimate objects becoming human.

You'd think the NPCitizens of this town would have gotten over the whole weirdness factor by now but that was obviously not the case.

Raven was the only living child of Trigon the Terrible, a demon that killed everyone around him, including his own mother, when he was born. A demon who destroyed an entire planet at the age of six, and ruled over millions of worlds by the time he was thirty. He was incredibly powerful and pure evil, capable of draining the souls of an entire world in the blink of an eye or remaking a planet into his vision of hell. He commanded hordes of demons and was virtually invulnerable.

And yet Raven might've preferred to face her father at the moment than start her job at Dite's Decadent Delights.

She steeled herself. It was just a store. With things. That people derived pleasure from. She was in control. She could do this. Obviously, the school had assigned her this job for a reason (or so she believed), and she did not wish to disappoint. The job was simple enough, just selling merchandise and restocking the shelves. And just because she had to deny herself emotion and pleasure did not mean that it was not permitted for others to seek to enhance their enjoyment of such things. And, after all, it was in her very nature as an empath to make people feel better....

Oh, dear Azar, what was that thing? And why did it have rabbit ears? And batteries?

Decadent Delights was open. And Raven was trying very hard not to look at anything in the store.

Geoffrey was not in the best of moods. In fact, 'good' seemed to have no place around him as he seemed to have an ice pack against his jaw. Asking why was certainly not a 'good' idea. He definitely wasn't drinking 'good' coffee by the expression on his face, and any 'good' humor he had about things was going to be used up, no doubt, by his actors.

He did seem to have a 'good' grasp on the razor that flicked between his lips every few minutes, sore jaw bedamned.

"Get on the stage and not one word that starts with 'b' that wasn't written by four hundred years ago."

...he was going to have to break the whole 'friends with an angel' thing to Reid soon. He didn't want to, he was pretty sure it was going to be a mess, but not saying anything at all kind of felt a little slimy to him and he figured forewarned was forearmed, right? As long as Morgan broke it to him carefully, it shouldn't be a problem if they bumped into each other somewhere.

Like the store. Or the house. Where they both had at least some reason to be on occasion.

The problem was 'how', since he'd only have one shot at this. Which was why he was muttering to himself as he worked on his laptop behind the counter.

Fiona was quite proud of her research over the weekend, and as such was almost excited as she made her way into the office today. The plant was watered, the shelves dusted, and finally she took her place at the desk to answer calls and assemble what she'd come up with for Miss Cabot.

After taking some time to explore the clinic a bit, Bones decided to settle down behind the front desk and look over some of the patient files from the past couple years. He really shouldn't be surprised by all the weirdness considering that he spent the weekend hanging with his hypo and, yet, he was.

"Someone got their face burned off by macaroni and cheese? Really?"

Rick still wasn't entirely used to the idea of working regular hours, so he'd decided that since he had to come in today anyway for his class, that he might as well hold his office hours in the morning beforehand.

Plus it was a lot easier to write his epic Storm/Heat hate-sex fic when he wasn't in the same house as where they'd actually done what he was writing about.

Shilo was never, ever, getting out of bed again. Ever. There was no way. She had publicly humiliated herself last night.

But she had class today. Which meant that whole pledge of never leaving her bed was kind of moot.

"I need comfort food," she griped. "Why didn't the office see fit to put me in a cabin with Francine or Liir..." Because if they were roomed with everyone who might need comfort food, they'd have the entire damn island in their cabin, Shi. Use your damn head, her snarky inner voice chimed in. Shilo groaned aloud, and flopped back onto her pillows.

At least class wasn't until this afternoon.

Ino was pretty well pleased with herself today, all things considered, after yesterday’s Talk with Hurley. It had gone well from her point of view.

...it had probably gone quite differently from Hurley’s, however, as she’d made him cry. Oh, Ino. That’s not something you’re supposed to be pleased about.

Either way, she was totally happy with the way it had gone and was humming and singing snatches of songs out loud as she fussed with the plants, making sure they were happy too. La la la~

There was little to do at a bookstore, really, other than read. Which would be why Hinata found that it was the easiest thing in the world to do—coming in, tidying up, setting out tea, and then picking a book almost at random and seeing how far she could get in a single day.

Any customers, of course, would get first priority, but otherwise her attention was quite firmly split between her book and keeping a periodic eye on Yei.
